New York State Tourism Industry Association Welcomes New Members to the Board of Directors and Executive Committee for 2022-2023

TROY, NY – On Thursday, October 28 and Friday, October 29 at the New Yorker Hotel during the 2022 New York State Tourism Industry Association (NYSTIA) Annual Meeting in New York City, nine board members were elected to the 2022-2023 NYSTIA Board of Directors and three new members and four returning members were elected to the 2022-2023 Executive Committee.

NYSTIA members approved the Nominating Committee's proposed slate of candidates. Seven candidates were elected to three-year terms of office and two were elected to fill board vacancies created by retirement and a change in employment. The board members returning to serve a second three-year term include: Annamaria Bellantoni (TPA, Capital-Saratoga Region); Jennifer Ackerson (Allied Partner, Long Island Region); Corey Fram (TPA, 1000 Islands Seaway Region); and Sara Poe (Museum, Finger Lakes Region). New to the board are: Hayley Coriaty (Attraction, New York City Region), Todd Garofano (TPA, Capital-Saratoga Region); Gary Hahn (Museum, Chautauqua-Allegheny Region); Cassandra Harrington (TPA, Central New York Region) and Kristy Kennedy (TPA, Adirondack Region).

The 2021-2022 NYSTIA Board of Directors met to elect the 2022-2023 Board of Directors:

Chair: Kelly Ann Curtin (TPA, New York City)

Treasurer: Corey Fram (TPA, 1000 Islands Seaway Region)

Secretary: Stephanie Johnson (Attraction, Hudson Valley Region)

Vice Chair: Hillarie Logan-Duchene (Museum, Adirondack Region)

Vice Chair – Membership: Greg LaDuca (TPA, Finger Lakes Region)

Vice Chair – At Large: John Percy (TPA, Greater Niagara)

Immediate Past Chair – Dana Krueger (Allied Partner, Central New York)

"We have been fortunate to have an outstanding group of individuals elected to the NYSTIA Board of Directors in 2022.  The Nominating Committee is confident that they will put their expertise, enthusiasm, and experience to work for the advancement of New York State's tourism industry and their NYSTIA colleagues," said Ken Meifert, Chair of the NYSTIA Nominating Committee and Vice President, Sponsorship and Development at the National Baseball Hall of Fame and Museum.

"I am delighted with both the talented, committed and capable individuals joining the board and the caliber of the leadership team on the new Executive Committee. NYSTIA's membership will be well-served in the year ahead,” said immediate Past Chair, Dana Krueger.

“It was an honor be elected Board Chair of the New York State Tourism Industry Association (NYSTIA) at the first Annual Meeting held in NYC,” said Kelly Curtin, EVP, Membership at NYC & Company. “Heading up NYC & Company’s member relationships allows me to pursue my passion of being a connector in the travel and tourism industry, and I am excited to bring that expertise to my role as Board Chair of NYSTIA. I look forward to working with the NYSTIA Board and membership to build back tourism to levels that surpass pre-pandemic success.”
