Brenda Dysinger, Vice President of Human Resources at the Seneca Gaming Corporation, will speak on the Workforce Development panel at the 2023 NYS Tourism conference, held in Oswego on April 19-21. Her topic, "The Best 8 Hours: Retaining talent in a highly competitive market" will cover:
- Understand what employees want
- How to create an environment your employees won’t want to leave
- Examples of how the Seneca Gaming Corporation creates 'The Best 8 Hours'
Brenda has over 22 years of experience and is no stranger to the intricacies of Human Resources for the gaming industry. A Western New York native, Brenda joined Seneca Gaming Corporation in June, 2022 where she oversees the Human Resources teams for all three Seneca Gaming properties, and supports the organizational initiatives, strategies and goals of the company. Previously, she oversaw Human Resources for all Sycuan Band of the Kumeyaay Nation enterprises in El Cajon, CA. Brenda has worked with MGM Resorts International Bellagio and Excalibur properties, as well as Wyndham Vacation Ownership in Las Vegas. Her gaming career started over 15 years ago at Colorado’s Isle of Capri Casinos.
Dysinger graduated from Roberts Wesleyan College with a Bachelor of Social Work, and earned a Master of Science in Organizational Leadership from Colorado State University. She holds a Senior Professional in Human Resources (SPHR ®) certification from the HR Certification Institute and the SHRM-SCP certification form the Society for Human Resources Management. Brenda is currently a Council Member of the Niagara Area Foundation.
