Our Future Success As An Industry Will Be Fueled By Our Advocacy Efforts Today!
Imagine listening to a choir if each member of the chorus selected a different song to sing. Chaos!
One important component of successful advocacy is consistent messaging from everyone in the industry.
Incorporate the ‘Tourism, It’s Everybody’s Business!' statement in your advocacy messaging.
As of today, we are making the branded tourism advocacy statement used throughout NYSTIA’s presentation materials available for your download and use.
Kudos to Patty Austin (see quote below) for reaching out and asking that we add it to your resources on our Tourism Advocacy page.
"I reached out to the NYSTIA to request permission to add the 'Tourism is Everyone's Business' logo to my email signature. This is part of the Great Northern Catskills of Greene County’s effort to unify our businesses by promoting the same important message. I’m pleased to share that the logo is now available for download online, making it easy for all of us to display and support tourism as a collective force in our community."
- Patty Austin, Director of Tourism, Greene County Tourism
Patty’s plans are absolutely aligned with our advocacy initiative and messaging. Feel free to add this statement/artwork to your email signature, slide deck, advocacy handouts, etc. This thematic statement was first used by NYSTIA as the theme of the 2019 New York State Tourism Conference in Buffalo and was subsequently adopted as our advocacy statement. In 2022, when we received copyright approval for our ‘tourism with a heart’ trademark, the statement and wordmark were blended into the image above.
Incidentally, using the choir analogy above is actually appropriate, consider the context provided by the language of music -
Acting in Concert means understanding or participating in a joint activity or conscious parallel action towards a common goal, whether or not necessitated by a formal agreement, for a common purpose.*
To Orchestrate is to arrange or combine so as to achieve a desired or maximum effect.*
