Travel Show Recap: NYSTIA Returns to Canada's Upper Ottawa Valley

NYSTIA made our return to Canada's Upper Ottawa Valley last weekend for The Ottawa Valley Outdoor Adventure & Sportsman Show at the Petawawa Civic Centre in Petawawa, Ontario (about two hours northwest of Ottawa). The show was co-located with a Poutine festival, which brought additional attendees to the event. Petawawa is also home to a Canadian military base, and we talked to many military families about traveling to New York State.

We had a corner booth strategically placed next to the show organizers, which was a testament to the success of our travel show strategy. The organizers were impressed by the design of our booth and how it drew in attendees, further showing how the look of our booth is strengthening. This positive feedback clearly indicates that our booth elements are attracting attendees and effectively showcasing our New York State Tourism Champions and other destinations/attractions.

Misty Tarbell with Akwesasne Travel joined us in the booth, helping us promote 1000 Island Seaway and Adirondack destinations. Attendees were excited to see that we came to the show and thanked us for our willingness to go to Petawawa.
