The Erie Canal corridor is one of New York's most iconic assets and an economic driver of New York's past. Thanks in large part to our collaboration with creative destination marketers, New York's canal system's mission has been “re-imagined" to drive economic growth for New York's present and future!

In 2018, we acknowledged that collaboration by nominating several of our partners for NYSTIA's Tourism Excellence Awards. I was thrilled when two of our nominees were selected and they were honored at the 2018 awards ceremony.

As a member of NYSTIA's Awards Committee, I'm urging you to consider what programs and individuals in your organization or among your partners should be nominated in 2019.
