Sara Poe from The Strong National Museum of Play to Speak in Saratoga Springs at the 2024 NYSTIA Annual Meeting
Join us on Thursday morning in Saratoga Springs at the 2024 NYSTIA Meeting where Sara Poe, Senior Vice President of Marketing and Guest Experiences at The Strong National Museum of Play will be presenting their award winning project, Play Strong: A Canadian Marketing Initiative.
The grand opening of The Strong National Museum of Play’s 90,000 sq. ft. expansion on June 30, 2023 was the apex of 5+ years of work to expand our audience into the Golden Horseshoe region of Ontario, Canada. Included in this multi-year marketing campaign was over $1M in targeted paid advertising, public relations initiatives, and strategic social media outreach. The 2023 culmination of our efforts was a 200% year-over-year growth in museum guests from this geographic hotspot!

Sara Poe oversees The Strong National Museum of Play's marketing, communication, guest services and security teams. Prior to joining the museum, she served in various marketing roles with the Rochester Broadway Theatre League, Walt Disney Company, Tipping Point Communications and other, full-service marketing agencies. Poe holds degrees from the University of Rochester and St. John Fisher University.
