The New York City Economic Development Corporation (NYC EDC) is looking to contract venues for what they are calling Humanitarian Emergency Response and Relief Centers.
Below is an overview/summary of the RFP:
- Looking for sites throughout New York state to temporarily house asylum seekers in a congregate setting. Due to the high numbers of individuals seeking shelter, we are looking for a variety of solutions to house individuals
- Minimum of 60,000 usable SF within a building but will consider smaller sites
- Looking to target a large variety of sites throughout the state, such as conference or event spaces at hotels and other conference/event/camp/assembly sites

On the call I had with EDC they told me they are looking to contract with venues from 6 months up to possibly 5 years. Very much appreciate you sharing with any and all venues in your destinations.
