NYSTIA requests proposals for Empire State Tourism Conference

Pittsford, New York -- The New York State Tourism Industry Association (NYSTIA) is seeking proposals from destinations and facilities interested in hosting the "I Love New York" Empire State Tourism Conference (ESTC), to be held in 2019, 2020, and 2021.

The ESTC is a three-day event held in New York State for upwards of 300 professionals in the tourism industry. The conference includes educational sessions, networking activities, and a trade show. Attendees represent tourism promotion agencies, destination marketing organizations, chambers of commerce, industry associations, and tourism businesses operating throughout New York State and beyond, as well as allied vendors seeking to interact with tourism marketing professionals and business operators.

Destinations where the conference has been held in recent years include Schenectady, Lake Placid, Clayton, and Syracuse, NY.

Proposals and supporting documentation are due by August 21, 2018, and should be submitted to info@nystia.org, attn: ESTC Committee. Questions can be directed to Suzanne Bixby, NYSTIA Marketing & Communications Director, at suzanne@nystia.org.

Once proposals are in, the committee and staff will organize and review documentation, and determine a course of action for acquiring additional information and reaching out to schedule meetings/site visits in targeted destinations.
