Auburn, NY - Over 125 travel and tourism industry leaders will come together at the New York State Travel Industry Association (NYSTIA) Annual Meeting and Tourism Excellence Awards to be held at the Holiday Inn in Auburn, September 26-27, 2019.

The meeting will officially kick off on Thursday, September 26 at 11:30 a.m. with NYSTIA's Annual Meeting and lunch, followed by a new conference feature, member-to-member co-op marketing meetings where 2020 co-opportunities can be discussed with marketing and media companies. The sessions are followed by a welcome reception at the Seward House Museum and the new NYS Equal Rights Heritage Center. The evening ends with an optional âsip and stroll" in downtown Auburn, where attendees can visit Auburn's award-winning breweries.
Friday's agenda begins with the NYSTIA Board of Director's meeting followed by the Tourism Excellence Awards brunch, recognizing leaders in New York State's tourism industry who have achieved a high level of excellence and accomplishment.
The meeting concludes with an update by the NYS Division of Tourism on future marketing plans following New York State tourism's record high numbers of visitation and direct visitor spending; creating an economic impact of a staggering $114.7 billion, a growth of $6 billion year over year and supporting close to one million jobs,
Special activities are also planned for conference attendees arriving early or staying on after the conference.
