Sarah Walters is currently a senior at Niagara University and will be graduating this May, 2024. She is majoring in Tourism Destination and Event Management with a minor in Communication. At Niagara, she is the Vice-President of the Hospitality and Tourism Association and a member of Club Management Association of America, and the African Caribbean Student Alliance.
Sarah was just recently onboarded as a NYSTIA intern. She aims to help the NYSTIA staff in performing their mission while furthering her education in the industry and expanding her network. Through her university, she attended her first NYSTIA meeting this past fall in Rochester. As well, she was recently awarded a scholarship through NYSTIA.
Sarah is from Rochester NY, and loves to travel. She has studied abroad in Italy and Costa Rica and has visited Belize and the Bahamas. She plans to travel to London for a week in May through her Media in the UK class at Niagara. In her free time, Sarah loves to spend time with her family/friends, be outside, go on road trips and go camping. She is always up for a new adventure.
