Lydia Hulbert is a second year student at SUNY Schenectady County Community College (SCCC) studying Hospitality & Tourism Management, her current plan is to become an event planner after she graduates. While in school Lydia has become a member of the Meeting Professionals International Association (MPI). This association has enabled her to make great connects with professionals in the hospitality industry. This has also educated Lydia on many topics in hospitality, tourism, education, and government policies.
Lydia's first NYSTIA Event was in April 2024 at the New York State Tourism Conference in Niagara Falls. This was a wonderful conference where Lydia learned much on cultural sustainability and made lasting connections. While at the conference she got to witness the great Niagara Falls which was wonderful for someone who enjoys the outdoors.
Lydia has 11 siblings, 8 brothers and 3 sisters. This made for quite a fun life growing up. Family gatherings are chaotic and a wonderful time of fellowship. In her free time Lydia enjoys playing street hockey, dancing, reading and the great outdoors.
