Sophia Root is the Tourism Director and Communications and Marketing Coordinator for Commerce Chenango. In her role Sophia is the administrator TMF for Chenango County.
Commerce Chenango is dedicated to enhancing the economic vitality of Chenango County by promoting the county and local businesses, and by fostering community partnerships.
Sophia serves on the boards of: The Chenango Foundation, The Chenango Women's Leadership Conference Planning Committee, the local Dollars for Scholars Chapter and the County's Hospital Auxiliary. This fall, She also graduated from the City of Norwich Citizens Police Academy.
In her life outside of the office Sophia enjoys volunteering, watching movies, attending concerts, spending time with her family and traveling.
