Since 2002 Rebecca Repp has served as the General Manager for AMERICAN ROAD® magazine–a glossy publication devoted to promoting and communicating the joys of traveling America’s scenic and historic back roads. AMERICAN ROAD® also produces AMERICAN ROAD TRIP TALK—a weekly half-hour radio show aired on KKNW Seattle and syndicated on Spotify, iTunes, and a dozen other podcast feeds.
The AMERICAN ROAD® staff collectively boasts more than 100 years in professional travel writing and programming experience. With that record, it’s small wonder that each issue of AMERICAN ROAD® magazine and AMERICAN ROAD® TRIP TALK are packed bumper-to-bumper with “the best of the best” in road-travel stories. When they choose their features, they do so with one goal in mind: to put their audience in the driver’s seat and send them rolling down America’s back roads—to the mom-and-pop cafes, the small towns glowing with neon, and the people and personalities who make each journey worthwhile.
AMERICAN ROAD is the ideal place to inspire road trip travelers to experience authentic, intriguing, nostalgic, picturesque, off-the-beaten-path destinations. Listed by Enjoy Travel Life as #1 in the Best Specialty Magazines for Travelers in 2024, there is no better place to promote your travel opportunities.
"Over the past two decades, AMERICAN ROAD has cultivated a dedicated community of heritage travelers who are always on the lookout for their next adventure. We would love to help NYSTIA partners become part of their journey."
Becky, BFA, ARM, may be familiar to members with Scenic Byways in their region. She has served on the board of the National Scenic Byway Foundation for the past several years. Becky co-founded Mock Turtle Press and AMERICAN ROAD with her husband Thomas Repp, MFA (Editorial Director) in 1998. They lead a team that produces high-quality, critically-acclaimed books and the award-winning AMERICAN ROAD® magazine.
Prior to being in the tourism industry, Becky worked in healthcare risk management. She understands the need for data to make informed decisions. That’s why AMERICAN ROAD is committed to providing measurable results.
Promoting literacy and introducing the next generation of travelers to the joys of road trips is Becky's personal passion. However, when not volunteering at the local school or traveling the back roads, She enjoys spending quality time with family.
Becky is proud to be accepted as part of the NYSTIA tourism community and hopes to help support businesses in the hospitality and tourism industry there!
