She has served as a member of the NYSTIA community through her employment with the Watkins Glen Chamber of Commerce, Visit Syracuse, and Destiny USA. Nikita is now a member of NYSTIA through her newly created company, Belesai Communications, a PR agency that focuses on the tourism industry!
Belesai Communications is a full-service public relations (PR) agency. "We specialize in elevating communication and public exposure for businesses in the travel/tourism and entertainment industries," Nikita said. With her connections in the tourism industry, including global industry professionals, travel journalists, publications, and destinations, the team can elevate clients' visibility by implementing customized public relations strategies.

Nikita began her career as a television journalist who gave live, daily on-air broadcasts about various topics working in Maine and Upstate New York. She would be in the middle of a snowstorm on morning shows, cautioning viewers to stay home or do a feature of a flight on a World War II Bomber nearly 10,000 feet in the air. After doing on-air reporting, Nikita shifted to the other side of the camera and entered the world of PR. She first worked for the corporate communications department of Fortune 500 Company Corning Incorporated. Then she started a small marketing firm before discovering the magical world of travel and tourism PR in New York's Finger Lakes region, where she found her passion!
She was invited to join the Visit Syracuse team as Communications Director. In this role, she led the organization's public relations and communications initiatives, including creating its seasonal visitors' guide and overseeing its international outreach, and also facilitated partnerships with neighboring destinations. Through Nikita's role with Visit Syracuse, she also worked closely with I LOVE NY and appeared on several national networks, all promoting tourism for the Greater Syracuse Area.
Nikita also likes exploring all New York has to offer outside the office. She enjoys taking rigorous hikes, horseback riding, camping, researching history, or being on the beach with her husband Erik and four-year-old twins Noble and Xochi.
She says, "It's easy to fall in love with all of New York State. Promoting the vast and wonderful world of Rieslings, craft beers, waterfalls, and gorges to national outlets like Conde Naste, Huffington post, and CNN never gets old. When you think you've seen it all, there's so much more to uncover."
