Meet Kevin Peterson, the Interim Executive Director at the Steuben County Conference & Visitors Bureau. During the search process, Kevin is also continuing his regular responsibilities as Partner Relations Manager, focusing on product and destination development.
The Steuben County Conference and Visitors Bureau (SCCVB) is Steuben County, NY's official tourism development and marketing organization. The SCCVB is a 501(c)6 not-for-profit, non-membership organization governed by a Board of Directors that works closely with State, Regional, Local Tourism, Economic Development Offices, and Steuben County businesses. Its mission is to stimulate the tourism economy through authentic storytelling, supporting and developing destination amenities, and connecting visitors to Steuben County as a travel destination. The SCCVB tells the destination's story in a strategic, research-based approach to increasing accommodation occupancy and tourism expenditures within Steuben County, NY.
Kevin is relatively new to NYSTIA; however, he has been active in the organization attending various NYSTIA events. He has worked with the Steuben County Conference & Visitors Bureau for 11 years as their Partner Relations manager for most of that time. Kevin also serves on the Finger Lakes Wine Country Marketing Association and the Finger Lakes Regional Tourism Council.
Kevin enjoys exploring all the Finger Lakes have to offer with his family. He is passionate about Steuben County and the Southern Finger Lakes region he calls home and sustaining its beauty for generations to come.
