- To all my NYSTIA colleagues,
The Destinations of New York State travel, tourism, hospitality and culinary college Scholarship fund, started in the 1980's by Charlie Daley, CTIS, CTP and Dave Thornton and was turned over to NYSTIA with $20,000.00 in the fund several years back. The Scholarship fund has grown to a balance of over $50,000.00. Over $350,000.00 in Scholarships have been awarded.
COVID-19 Initiative: With the leadership and creativity of Kelly Rapone, scholarship chair, and her scholarship committee, supported by Bob Provost and Christine Hoffer at NYSTIA, we have developed a new and exciting online auction program to not only benefit the college scholarship fund, but give our tourism suppliers a much needed opportunity to promote themselves to the consumer tourism market! Please read all about it HERE.
As a founder of this important college scholarship fundraiser program, thank you in advance for your support of the âNEW" and exciting auction fundraiser and online tourism promotional program. Your donation will help students pursuing a travel, tourism, hospitality and/or culinary degree achieve their goals - and now it will also promote your destination. Here is your opportunity to 'Do Good While Doing Well.' Help the students who are the âFuture of Our Industry" while helping to achieve recovery for your business and New York's tourism industry. Thank you again!
We are grateful for your past donations and purchase of auction packages over the many years. 100% of the dollars raised from your donation(s) have been deposited in the scholarship fund.
Be well and be safe,
Charlie Daley
