New York (February 2, 2018) â As videoâparticularly live videoâbecomes an increasingly vital digital marketing tool, destinations and tourism businesses need strategies to tell their stories through this medium. BBG&G Advertising, a full-service integrated marketing agency specializing in hospitality and tourism, will present Live Storytelling Through Social Media, a hands-on educational session at 2018 âI Love New York" Empire State Tourism Conference (www.EmpireStateTourism.com), hosted by the New York State Tourism Industry Association and I LOVE NEW YORK.
The session, designed to teach participants why and how to create live video content for social media platforms, will be offered on Tuesday, April 24. Participants will learn about how to market their destination with these tools, and produce a Facebook LIVE video for their own use during the workshop portion of the session.
In advance of the conference, BBG&G will host a Facebook LIVE video on Tuesday, February 13 at 2 p.m. on the NYSTIA Facebook page. During this preview, BBG&G staff will touch on the importance of Facebook LIVE videos, as well as Instagram and Snapchat stories, to not only the tourism industry, but also other types of businesses. Registrants are welcome to sign up for the two available workshop sessions upon registration for the conference.
âSocial media is constantly evolving, and it is crucial for destinations to keep up with new trends to market their attraction. Live video storytelling will play an important role in tourism marketing this year," said Deborah Garry, BBG&G Founder and President.
