Your Adirondack Experience Starts Here!

The Adirondack Experience (ADKX) is a world-class museum that engages visitors with interactive exhibits, unexpected stories, and an amazing collection of artwork and historical objects. Here we bridge the past and present, fostering the curious side in everyone.

With more than 20 buildings nestled across 120 acres overlooking Blue Mountain Lake, our open-air campus offers something for everyone! Step into the rich history of the Adirondack region as you row an authentic guideboat, break up a logjam, climb a classic Adirondack fire tower, or enjoy a family-friendly hike to the ADKX Boathouse where visitors can borrow a traditional guideboat or vintage canoe and glide across the quiet waters of Minnow Pond.

Don't forget to grab a bite to eat at the Lake View Café and take in the amazing views of Blue Mountain Lake. Serving beer, wine, lunch, and snacks all day.

Visit our website for more information about the many signature events we offer like Rustic Fair and FallFest as well as workshops, and winter programs. Open seasonally, Memorial Day through Indigenous Peoples’ Day. Plan your visit today at THEADKX.org!
