Procedures for Use of NYS Tourism Matching Funds

NOTE - TPA Participants Using NYS Tourism Matching Funds:

  • Tourism Matching Funds Co-Op ads appearing under an I LOVE NY branded banner:
    • should not include the I LOVE NY logo or legal language. Branding requirements will be addressed in NYSTIA's banner design.
  • Tourism Matching Funds Co-Op ads appearing freestanding:
    • must include the I LOVE NY logo and legal language as required by guidelines.
  • All Tourism Matching Funds Co-Op ads: whether under a banner or freestanding, must follow the following procedure:
    • Your I LOVE NY contacts need to know that matching funds are being used whether the ad contains ILNY branding or not. The TPA utilizing matching funds is required to submit their creative directly to their I LOVE NY contacts for approval, with a cc: to rachele@nystia.org.
    • Indicate with your submission the specific NYSTIA Co-Op (e.g. AARP October issue or ROVA August issue).
    • Forward approved creative to rachele@nystia.org prior to the deadline communicated.
  • Tourism Matching Funds and other NYS Sourced Funds: are not eligible for use as local matching funds for programs already supported by Market New York or other NYS sourced funds. 

Non-TPA Participants:

  • Your Co-Op ads should not contain ILNY branding nor should they be sent to I LOVE NY contacts for approval.
  • If you ad appears on a page with an I LOVE NY branded banner, your ad must be sent to rachele@nystia.org prior to the deadline communicated. She will then forward the completed pages to I LOVE NY for final approval.
