Job Description/Responsibilities
The Operations Manager fulfills the daily tasks of Madison County Tourism in collaboration with the Executive Director.
As the Operations Manager, your responsibilities include: overseeing all administrative functions, optimizing internal processes, managing vendor relationships, and ensuring high-quality service to our tourism partners.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Assists in weekly tasks in collaboration with our accountant
- Manages mailing needs both in-house and with distributors
- Serves as the primary point of contact for our tourism partners and helps plan partner events
- Assists in event setup and teardown
- Manages Google Calendar for the organization
- Assists in the creation of itineraries for visitors and groups
- Regularly updates/maintains daily events calendar on our website
- Works with multiple vendors and collaborators across a variety of projects
- Develops and sends monthly newsletters to tourism partners, community connections, and subscribers
- Evaluates technologies, helping provide insight/perspective on operational efficiencies
- Additional duties as assigned
Qualifications
- Ability to demonstrate working experience of similar nature as outlined above
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work with Google Workspace (Google Drive, Google Meet, Google Forms, etc.)
- Taking initiative and self-starting ability is a must
- Ability to properly lift 30 pounds from ground level to a height of 36 inches
- Ability to drive and travel interstate without restrictions
- Occasional weekend and evening availability required

Education and Experience:
- Bachelor’s Degree or relevant industry experience
- 2+ years of experience in a managerial role, preferred
Salary:
- $60,500
