Rachele Markle - Communications Director
Rachele Markle brings over 10 years of experience working in various marketing and communications roles for public and private sector organizations to her leadership role at NYSTIA.
As the Communications Director at NYSTIA, she oversees all online communication with our membership community, increasing awareness of industry initiatives and . Since joining NYSTIA in 2021, her role has grown to include creating online content, managing social media channels and the NYSTIA website, promoting and organizing NYSTIA events, producing the weekly e-newsletter, and coordinating the design of Co-Op advertising and promotional materials.
Rachele also serves as the primary staff liaison for NYSTIA’s Advocacy Committee, Tourism Excellence Awards Committee, and DEAI Committee, and is the primary event coordinator for the annual New York State Tourism Conference.
Rachele was born and raised in Oneida, New York, and has lived, worked, and studied in five countries. During her studies, Rachele developed a passion for the tourism industry working working part-time at hotels and restaurants.
After graduating high school, Rachele was a Rotary Youth Exchange Student in Toyama, Japan from 2014 to 2015. She then obtained her bachelor’s in international relations at University College Roosevelt in the Netherlands in 2018 and her master’s in International Tourism Destination Management at Edinburgh Napier University in Scotland in 2020.
