Educating our future tourism workforce!

Our committee goals are to create opportunities for NYSTIA member institutions' students to gain a greater understanding of the hospitality and tourism industry in New York State, including career opportunities. To develop and support scholarship opportunities for NYSTIA member institutions' students. Provide a deeper understanding of the NYSTIA member institutions' hospitality and tourism academic programs to high school students, teachers, and administrators in New York State. Explore academic and industry partnerships to support NYSTIA member institutions' hospitality and tourism students.
 

Mission Statement:

The Higher Education Advisory Council Committee strives to support NYSTIA's overall mission by raising awareness of the benefits and opportunities available to students studying hospitality and tourism in higher education in New York State and supporting NYSTIA member institutions' hospitality and tourism students.

"The Higher Education Advisory Council Committee is a valuable contributor to NYSTIA's mission through its collaborative work to raise awareness of the value of studying hospitality and tourism in higher education. The committee also works to support current hospitality and tourism students from NYSTIA member institutions."
